GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY gave their survival hopes a real shot in the arm with a win that harmed Salford’s promotion aspirations.
Trinity’s run-in has been horrendous, nine of their final ten games against promotion-chasing sides.
The narrow win over Salford took Gainsborough level on points with fourth-bottom Worcester ahead of Monday’s trip to Brackley.
It turned out to be be a Good Friday for the Holy Blues, Nathan Jarman pouncing with seven minutes on the clock.
