■SPENNYMOOR won their first home game since August 15 as goals from Shane Henry and Joe Tait overcame Alfreton.
Alfreton, on a sevengame unbeaten run, almost took the lead in the first minute but Ricardo German’s effort was well saved by Jordan Porter.
The home side responded with Matthew Dixon and Glen Taylor going close and their pressure was rewarded when Henry headed in from a corner.
Alfreton should have equalised immediately but Kegan Etherington headed an effort onto the post from a yard out after German’s shot looped over Porter.
