BRADFORD Park Avenue came close to snatching a draw as they mounted a late fightback, but couldn’t prevent Darlington starting a new era with a win.
New manager Tommy Wright, appointed on Friday evening after leaving Nuneaton Town, was in the stand as his new team recorded a badly-needed first win in six matches.
He missed the first goal, however. After being introduced on the pitch with assistant Alan White, the pair were making their way to the main stand when Quakers scored after just 92 seconds.
