CURZON ASHTON 0
FC UNITED made it nine games at home without defeat as they beat near-neighbours Curzon Ashton. The local rivals produced a physical, if not a classic contest, with both teams reduced to ten men.
The Nash made the better start, taking the game to their hosts and but for a couple of good saves from FC United keeper Lloyd Allinson they could have taken the lead.
Just after the halfhour mark the game turned as Curzon’s Joe Guest came in with a heavy late challenge on Steve Irwin that was fully deserving of a red card.
