BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent edged out rock-bottom Burgess Hill Town, who remain six points adrift of safety.
Jake Turner’s second-half goal proved to be the winner after Aaron Condon opened the scoring in the eighth minute before James Richmond pulled one back for Burgess late on.
Despite their home advantage, the Hillians couldn’t pick up any points to close the gap on Tooting & Mitcham and Harlow above them, who both lost.
