PAIR REFUSE STEP 6 RISE

TWO clubs have snubbed the chance to join the new Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Step 6 Division One set up next season – because they think local county league football is just as good if not better.
The existing Division One is to be split into new North and South divisions, each with at least 16 clubs, and applicants must meet a minimum ground grading standard by March 31.
But Step 7 Cambridgeshire Premier Division outfits Linton Granta and West Wratting have both said that they are not interested in joining the new league and are happy to stay where they are.
