BLYTH Spartans picked up a first win of the season in stunning fashion with a resounding victory at home to a hapless Chester.
Alun Armstrong’s men were three goals ahead at the break, with Dan Maguire opening the scoring on 15 minutes with a low strike.
Kieran Green headed home Jarrett River’s cross three minutes later and Jamie Holmes’ first goal for the club five minutes before half-time put Blyth in complete control. Rivers was provider for goal number four when his corner found an unmarked Sean Reid for his second of the seas...
