A GARY Roberts hattrick, including a last-gasp winner, earned Chester three points in a feisty affair where both sides ended up with ten men.
Alfreton came with a no-nonsense approach that at times spilled over in, but they can consider themselves unfortunate to see James Clifton dismissed after 25 minutes following a challenge on Gary Stockforth.
Chester took the lead after three minutes, Roberts converting from the spot after he had been felled by Clifton in the area.
