SPENNYMOOR Town were held to a goalless draw by Curzon Ashton in a heated encounter at the Brewery Field.
The best chance of the game fell to Glen Taylor in the second half, who was unlucky to find the only bobble on an otherwise immaculate pitch and skied his one-on-one well over the bar from 18 yards.
The match was very much a slow burner and there was little goalmouth action to speak of in the first half. Instead, the game was spent doing battle in the middle of the pitch.
