NEWNuneaton owner Nick Hawkins saw his side edged out in this Warwickshire derby clash but must have been impressed by their fighting spirit as they looked to repair the damage of a dismal first half.
Leamington dominated the opening period, scoring after just eight minutes. A thundering 25-yard free-kick from Connor Gudger crashed against the bar and Colby Bishop reacted quickest to head in the loose ball.
The Brakes continued to press and after Bishop had put a header wide, Jack Edwards was given too much space at a corner on the half-hour...
