HARROGATE TOWN boss Simon Weaver has led the tributes to the club’s former chairman Bill
Fotherby, who died this week at the age of 88. Fotherby spent almost 12 years as Town chairman before stepping down in 2011.
Before that, Fotherby had held the position of managing director of the Leeds United side which won the First Division title in 1992, overseeing the signing of Eric Cantona and his subsequent sale to Manchester United.
