JASON GILCHRIST came off the bench to earn Southport a last-gasp point.
Two goals down at halftime, the Port staged a strong second-half fightback, earning a deserved draw for Liam Watson’s team.
Park Avenue had led thanks to two goals from Jake Beesley but the Sandgrounders were rewarded for their concerted pressure after the break.
Jordan Archer grabbed a goal back before Gilchrist struck in the last minute.
