FREEDOM overcame fear as doomed Nuneaton’s first win since December went a long way towards consigning FC United to the drop.
While Boro pressed and played with purpose, the hosts seemed paralysed by the prospect of a must-win game against the National North cellar dwellers.
Nuneaton held the edge in a scrappy opening and led 17 minutes in when Ryan Edmunds swung a cross-field pass for Taylor Allen to take down on the left of the box, cut inside his marker and prod past hesitant keeper Andy Fisher at the near post.
