BRAD BAURESS finished an incisive team move to score the only goal as Southport consolidated their hold on fourth place. Bauress netted his third goal in six games as the Port held on to register a third straight win.
The home team needed to withstand an onslaught of late pressure from the visitors to claim the victory, picking up maximum points for the sixth time in eight league games.
