CHESTER turned in one of their best performances of the campaign in defeating an in-form Darlington side who had won six of their previous seven matches.
Goals from Bradley Jackson, Akwasi Asante and Danny Livesey sealed the victory in what was an imperious performance by the home side.
Chester included new signing John Johnston, who joined the club from Altrincham on Friday, and the former Crewe Alexandra winger turned in an outstanding performance.
He could prove to be the missing link as Chester push to try and seal a promotion spot.
