Gateshead 3-1 Kettering Town: Heed feel the need for speed in winning start

A SCINTILLATING first half display saw Gateshead sweep aside Kettering to get their season off to a winning start.
Meetings between these two sides on Tyneside have been close tough affairs over the last three decades.
Nine of the 13 league clashes at the International Stadium had been draws, goalless on four occasions, 1-1 the other five.
This was a footballing feast by comparison and it could easily have been a record scoreline.
