GOALKEEPER Jake Weaver was the hero as Leamington got their season off to a superb start as two quickfire second half goals sealed a win for the Brakes on a lovely Warwickshire afternoon.
The first half began slowly, neither side having any chances of note. Rob Ramshaw had the first big chance of the first half for Spennymoor in the 18th minute as he forced Weaver into a save, one that started the game of a lifetime for the shot stopper.
