JAMES Hanson’s early goal ensured Farsley Celtic inflicted a first defeat of the season on ten-man leaders AFC Fylde.
Danny Philliskirk’s sending off 10 minutes into the second half dented Fylde’s hopes of getting something from the game but, in truth, the hosts were good value for their three points.
It was a mix-up in the Fylde defence that allowed Farsley to take the lead; Jordan Richards played a long ball towards Hanson and as Chris Neal raced out of his goal, Hanson had plenty of time to lob the ball into the empty net from 35 yards out.
