CHORLEY were held against York’s battling ten men, who were backed by a record crowd at the LNER Community Stadium.
Tennis balls from the South Stand in a protest from the home support interrupted play just 10 minutes in. But the break in play seemed to be just what the Minstermen needed as they swiftly took the lead a minute after returning to the field through a Mark Beck flick on which was turned in by Akil Wright at the back post.
