THE Poppies were in full bloom on a miserable afternoon for Leamington as they won for the first time at Harbury Lane.
Kettering began strongly and moved in front inside six minutes. Alex Brown’s movement in from the left and a vicious strike extended Matt Sargeant but he could only parry it into the path of Jordan Crawford, who netted his third goal in three games from close range.
Brakes responded with a low free-kick from Steph Morley which stung the palms of Poppies stopper Jackson Smith.
Kettering were denied by a fantastic bloc...
