CHESTER slumped to their fifth consecutive defeat, while Chorley bolstered their play-off aspirations and should have won by a larger margin.
The star for the visitors was striker Jack Sampson, who could easily have bagged four or five rather than the two that did count.
Sampson was quickly out of the blocks, scoring his first after 60 seconds. A cross from the left from Adam Blakeman eluded the home defence, which afforded Sampson a simple job to score from close in.
