UNDER-PRESSURE Lee Glover was delighted by Kettering’s performance in a six-pointer basement battle against Blyth. Keaton Ward opened the scoring within seven minutes – slamming the ball home inside the area. But the early goal didn’t settle the hosts’ nerves as Spartans enjoyed the rest of the first half.
Nicky Deverdics converted a 13th-minute penalty after Brad Gascoigne needlessly up-ended his opposite number.
