ST ALBANS CITY moved up to sixth in the table as they overcame a dogged Bath City at Clarence Park.
Bath applied the early pressure with Dan Hayfield seeing his vicious drive fly inches wide.
It was the hosts however who struck first with ten minutes on the clock, after being awarded a penalty for a foul on Shaun Jeffers.
Jeffers then stepped up and dispatched the spotkick past Josh Gould.
Bath responded well to going behind and were only denied a leveller by Dylan Berry in the St Albans net.
