TROY Chiabi’s first-half header gave Blyth Spartans only their third win in 15 games as Kettering’s run of three clean sheets and four unbeaten games came to an end.
It was a result that also kept the Poppies in the relegation mix as a battling Blyth enhanced their own chances of avoiding the drop with a precious three points.
The all-important goal arrived midway through the opening half when Chiabi headed home a cross from Nicky Deverdics.
