WITH both teams looking for their first win of the season, it was the Magpies who emerged with a convincing victory.
The Linnets were outplayed for much of the match and were so subdued that they did well to reach the break one down.
The chief destroyer was elusive Chorley wide-man Justin Johnson, who bagged a brace and was denied a hat-trick by the post.
