CURZON ASHTON produced a brilliant, brave rearguard action to knock Scunthorpe United off the top of the table at Tameside Stadium.
The Iron had the first chance to score, but Kian Scales took too long and his shot was blocked by a recovering defender.
In the 18th minute, Curzon capitalised on a misplaced pass and drove down the left wing. A low cross eluded everyone except for Curzon skipper, Craig Mahon, who beat Ross Fitzsimons.
