Linnets keep up the promotion charge

KING’S LYNN submitted Southport to just their fifth defeat at home, leaving with a comfortable victory with a quickfire double in the first half settling the match.
A dominant defensive performance, aided by a clinical edge in front of goal tipped the game to the visitors. Both sides started well, spells of possession went both ways as an interesting midfield duel sparked.
Greg Taylor had been imperious in the middle of the park and 35-year-old broke through with a speculative effort from range on the 33rd minute.
