National League North sides Marine and Alfreton Town shared the spoils in a game that lacked creativity.
Both sides struggled to get a foothold in the opening stages as they both battled against the Crosby winds.
The first 15 minutes saw the sides create some half-chances but nothing to trouble either goalkeeper.
A first real chance of the game came in the 29th minute.
Subdued
Jed Abbey unleashed a promising effort towards goal, only to see it superbly tipped over by the returning Max Metcalfe.
As the half came to a close, there were few chances for both Marine and Alfreton.
