DARLINGTON flirted with failure against relegated Farsley Celtic but eventually came out on top with Jack Maskell scoring twice.
The 20-year-old striker made it 1-0with 15 minutes on the clock, scrambling home on the turn after a pass into the penalty area by Caden Kelly.
With Quakers in control, a period of possession led to Kelly making it 2-0after running onto Will Hatfield’s pass.
Steve Watson’s side were comfortable and could easily have led by more, Will McGowan mis-kicking with the goal at his mercy.
