Alfreton Town sign Adam Anson

Alfreton Town have made their second summer signing, bringing in former Southport defender Adam Anson.

The 6’0 centre-back spent four seasons with the Sandgrounders, making 165 appearances. The former Wigan Athletic youth has also represented Macclesfield Town, Chorley and Witton Albion.

He’s the second new centre-back to sign for the National League North side this summer after Max Hunt’s arrival from Buxton two weeks ago.

Alfreton Town finished 5^th last season, losing to Boston United on penalties in a play-off eliminator.
