Darlington held off National League North relegation-haunted Warrington Town in an entertaining game.
A rare goal for defender Louis Storey against the run of play on the hour proved to be the difference as defeat for the Yellows pushed them nearer to the drop.
They had fallen behind on 21 minutes when Will McGowan picked out the top corner.
When Cedric Main beat his man and fired low past Dan Atherton, it looked like the writing was on the wall for the hosts.
