National League South side Torquay United have completed the signing of free agent Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala.
The 20-year-old joins new Torquay boss Gary Johnson in making the move from Cheltenham to Plainmoor and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s match against Eastbourne Borough.
Lumbombo-Kalala has had a distinguished playing career thus far, playing in both Italy and France.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Torquay’s head of recruitment Pete Johnson said, “We worked very hard to get him over from France to Cheltenham,
“He has a fellow Frenchman to talk to in Jean Niate. He’s been here a couple of days already, so I think he is comfortable and ready to show the Torquay fans what he can do.”
