Vanarama name November’s National League South award winners

The winners of November’s manager, player and volunteer awards in South have been unveiled by National League sponsors .
Havant and Waterlooville’s Paul Doswell collected the division’s managerial accolade for his side’s league and FA Trophy exploits while Bath City’s goal-scoring midfielder Tom Smith was named as the division’s top performer on the pitch.
Welling United’s Maddison Henderson was unveiled as November’s top volunteer in when the winners were announced at 2pm on Friday.

There was a big excitement from fans when Paul Doswell took over in the summer.
Quickly building a team which looked well equipped to challenge for promotion, the Hawks’ faithful even managed to put to one side his spell at rivals a decade ago!
It took them a while to totally warm to the new era but now the relationship is red hot.
Winning three of their four National League South matches last month, they also progressed in the FA Trophy.
One of those wins – against in-form Bath City – left those fans leaving the ground with a football prediction thinking a title push is still on.
They have already shown they can beat the leaders , and in style – and the excitement is building now the gap has been closed up.

Christmas came early for Bath City last month. After shaking off a couple of tricky months, the Romans finally hit their stride.
Now top of the form table and eyeing up a promotion place, one shining light has emerged at Twerton Park.
Midfielder Tom Smith has more than had his say in proceedings recently, notching four goals as his side claimed wins over and .
He also scored the winner against , that after he helped book his team’s place in the FA Trophy First Round, becoming the first Romans player to score in four different competitions before Christmas since Dave Gilroy over a decade ago.
Jerry Gill said they were going to give it a good go this season. And with the likes of Smith on board, who can deny them?

Vanarama National League South Volunteer of the Month – Maddison Henderson, Welling United
Last month, the Vanarama National League changed completely to become the MANarama National League.
And without people like Welling United’s Maddison Henderson, the campaign wouldn’t have been such a roaring success.
Maddison played a huge part of the club’s participation in the fight to raise awareness around Prostate Cancer.
Not deterred by bad weather, Maddison held a bucket collection with her friends – raising almost £800 for the cause.
The club believe Maddison’s efforts went a long way to raising awareness and money for the campaign – with the Wings posting a fundraising total of £1000.
Every club needs someone like Maddison!
