Hill’s howler leaves City reeling at Rocks

EAST THURROCK added another three points to their maiden National League South season by beating Oxford City.
Scot Heard had an early effort for the Rocks, but his free-kick on the edge of the box sailed over the bar.
Femi Akinwande could then have given the hosts the lead, but his strike flew over the bar.
City’s best effort of the half came on 36 minutes, but Rocks stopper Lukas Lidakevicius was equal to Scott Davies’ shot.
East Thurrock eventually took the lead in the 54th minute through Akinwande.
