POOLE’S failure to win at home and the Clarets’ unbeaten away record continued after a match with few clear cut chances.
The Dolphins made the brighter start with Jez Bedford getting a shot straight at visiting keeper Sam Beasant, son of former England keeper Dave, after three minutes, before Ollie Harfield’s corner almost went straight in with a clearance off the line.
Chelmsford’s tactic was to play long balls, but Poole defended well and restricted their visitors to a couple of shots that went high or wide.
