BOTH sides had to settle for a point apiece in this eventful encounter at Bulpit Lane.
The Crusaders twice led but were pegged back on both occasions with three of the four goals scored in controversial fashion.
Hungerford took the lead when a mistake from a defender let in Stefan Brown to square to Nicholas Bignall, who tucked the ball away at the second attempt.
James Rusby then brought a great save from Lukas Lidakevicius in the East Thurrock goal as Town pressed before the visitors levelled with a penalty.
