CITY surrendered top spot as their eight-game league and cup winning streak was ended by a Hampton side who stretched their unbeaten run to ten matches – with a sixth successive league draw.
The home side had to come from behind to t earn a share of the spoils and ensure that they will travel to Hampton next week for their Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie still unbeaten in nine.
Victory there for City would make them the first Cornish club in 47 years to reach the first round proper, since Falmouth did it in 1969.
