MERTHYR TOWN have been plunged into crisis after the majority of the club’s board and 80 per cent of the players walked out this week over claims of major financial problems at Penydarren Park. Martyrs boss Gavin Williams was forced to pick a youth-team squad for yesterday’s trip to Chesham United and it had an immediate effect as they were sent to a crushing 13-1 defeat.
