OXFORD City manager Mark Jones’ mid-week squad changes were vindicated as high-flying Hemel Hempstead Town were thumped.
Hemel started well, David Moyo forcing keeper Craig King to tip the ball on to the post.
But in the 16th minute Freddie Grant rose well from a corner. This forced a save out from ex- City keeper Laurie Walker, but Reece Fleet pounced to strike home the rebound.
Moments later, Walker was sent off for handling outside his area, and City made their advantage count in the 24th minute with a scrappy goal following a go...
