RELEGATION-THREATENED Gloucester City claimed an excellent away victory.
Ed Williams curled in a freekick that needed a good save from Welling debutant Baily Vose, before Archie Johnson made two important clearances to keep the visitors out.
Connor Dymond drew a good save from James Hamon then he denied Bradley Goldberg.
Just short of the hour, the deadlock was broken when Karnell Chambers fired low into the bottom corner.
The lead lasted just two minutes though, Goldberg levelling from the edge of the box.
