TWO second half goals were enough for Welling to defeat Dulwich Hamlet in the visitors’ first ever match in National League South.
In scorching heat the first half was a war of attrition with little goalmouth action. Five yellow cards interrupted what action there was with neither team creating much until Dan Wilks held well when a long throw had been knocked against the post.
Ashley Carew had a trade-mark free-kick tipped over early in the second half before Welling took control.
