DESPITE having by far the better of the match Welling had to settle for a point against a dogged Hemel Hempstead.
In the eighth minute the visitors won a free kick out wide and deadball expert Jordan Parkes sent over a delivery that somehow slotted into the angle between bar and post to put the Tudors ahead.
He then sent one over from the other side that Dan Wilks claimed before Welling levelled. Danny Mills burst clear but Laurie Walker was out quickly to deflect for a corner.
