THE GULLS leapt above hosts Wealdstone in the table after taking all three points away from Grosvenor Vale.
Torquay were given a golden chance to take the lead when Kalvin Kalala’s corner hit the raised arm of Godfrey Poku after 33 minutes.
But Stones stopper Jonathan North made a superb save from Jamie Reid’s penalty, also keeping out Opi Edwards’ rebound.
