OXFORD City came out on top thanks to goals either side of half-time, including one direct from a corner.
Billericay started quickly as debutant Paul Rooney found Sam Deering, whose shot was parried away by Craig King, and as the ball came back in, Billy Clifford shot just wide.
Town’s early dominance was rewarded after 14 minutes when Callum Kennedy’s corner was headed goalwards by Joe Kizzi and Jake Robinson deflected the ball into the net.
