CHELMSFORD bounced back from last weekend’s humiliating FA Trophy exit with a home victory over Gloucester City.
The Clarets started brightly as Moldovan debutant Adrian Cascaval flicked just wide and tricky winger Jonny Giles’ header was superbly saved by Jojo Wollacott.
Chelmsford were handed a golden chance to take the lead when Sam Avery wiped the floor with Giles inside the penalty area and though Tom Wraight had his initial spotkick saved, he stabbed home the rebound from close range.
