SUBSTITUTE Chris Lait's late winner was just enough for improving Tamworth to snatch all three points.
The first period was even, but subdued, with Callum Coyle firing high and wide for the hosts after 15 minutes.
In Tamworth's first attempt of the game, home goalkeeper Kieran Boucher saved Gregg Smith's 18th minute low shot before Boucher pushed away Reon Potts' effort from under his crossbar.
