THEscore makes it look a close game, but in truth Salisbury were the better side for 70 minutes, only to allow their opponents back into it.
In a lively start, when Wimborne’s Gerard Benfield was forced to save with his feet on three occasions, the writing was on the wall.
And, on 20 minutes, an interchange between Pablo Haysham and Luke Hopper allowed Haysham to open the scoring.
It was 2-0 13 minutes later, this time a Lewis Benson cross to the far post finding Matt Partridge in an ideal position.
