PHIL ROBERTS bagged a brace to edge Dartford past St Albans City in an exciting clash.
Both sides attacked with fluidity in a thrilling four-goal first half.
Ben Greenhalgh nearly put the Darts ahead on 17 minutes when his 25-yard freekick went narrowly wide.
Talisman Elliot Bradbrook put the Darts ahead in spectacular fashion on 21 minutes when his 30-yard effort flew past Saints keeper Dean Snedker.
St Albans equalised on 34 minutes when Zane Banton slotted past Darts netminder Bailey Vose from close range.
