HEMEL Hempstead came out on top against Oxford City at Marsh Lane on a roasting Saturday afternoon, in a match that, in reality, lacked chances.
Despite this, the visitors were able to break the deadlock just five minutes into the game as Dan Phillips took advantage of a loose ball, after Joe Oastler gave it away in the middle.
