MAIDSTONE United took full advantage of a disappointing defensive display from St Albans with forward Matt McClure helping himself to a hat-trick as the Stones scored four times for the third time so far this season.
The Stones opened their account with 22 minutes gone. Gavin Hoyte passed to Sam Corne whose cross took a deflection and it fell at a nice height for Matt McClure who headed past Dean Snedker.
Although there hadn’t been a huge amount to choose between the two sides, Maidstone went into the break two goals ahead.
